James Mackay is Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Council of South Africa. Qualified in both engineering and finance, he has more than 20 years of experience across the public and private sectors and previously led Energy Strategy at PwC. His work has included major investment and transformation programmes across the energy sector, with a current focus on South Africa’s national energy transition and the development of a secure, affordable and increasingly decarbonised energy system.
