Lawyer by training, Herminie own a degree from the Political Studies Institutes. She started her career in Nouakchott, Mauritania and never left the continent. As a mining governance expert, she worked on World Bank Mining projects in Mauritania, Senegal and DRC. In South Africa, she worked for the French Cooperation as a technical expert to the African Union Development Agencies (AUDA-NEPAD) on issues related to the extractive industries governance.
