Grace Olukune is the Head of Engineering for Renewable Energy at Eskom Green. She is a professionally registered engineer with over 21 years of industry experience and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Wits University.
She joined Eskom in 2007 as a Senior Engineer and has since held various engineering and leadership roles across the Generation business. Grace has been part of Eskom’s new build projects since their early project stages through to Generation Operations, providing technical leadership, multidisciplinary engineering coordination and advisory support. Grace was the Engineering Group Manager at Kusile Power Station before moving into Eskom’s Renewables business, where she now contributes to building the engineering capability required for the just energy transition.
She has been won multiple awards at Eskom and in the broader industry, including Manager of the Year at Kusile, the IEEE Women in Engineering Female Engineer of the Year, the WiEBE Award for Excellence in Industry at Company Level, and the Rising Star Award in the Energy and Environment category.
Beyond her professional achievements, Grace is passionate about developing women and young professionals, equipping them to become leaders of excellence and impact. She is driven by faith, purpose and a commitment to lifting others as she rises.
