Dr Zakhele Khuzwayo is Senior Manager: Innovation & Technology at Johannesburg Water. In this role, he works at the intersection of municipal water operations, infrastructure and innovation as the utility addresses challenges including ageing networks, water losses and the need for more resilient water and sanitation systems. He has represented Johannesburg Water in sector engagements focused on water and sanitation innovation and has contributed to public discussions on the modernisation of Johannesburg’s water infrastructure. His work supports the evaluation and adoption of technologies and approaches aimed at improving service delivery, efficiency and long-term water resilience.
