David Mvura is Technical Director and Partner at MATTLA Engineering, with more than 22 years of experience in the power sector, including 16 years at Eskom. He specialises in renewable energy integration, grid-code compliance and power-system testing. David contributed to the development of South Africa’s Renewable Energy Grid Code and battery energy storage standards and leads BESS projects and advisory work across sub-Saharan Africa. He holds an MSc in Engineering Management and is a registered Professional Engineer with ECSA.
