Benie Kabemba is the Regional Diversity, Equity, and Inlusion Lead at Glencore Copper Africa.
As a young female working for Glencore, one of world’s largest diversified natural resources companies, Benie has leveraged her practical experience and skills in listening, strategic thinking and problem solving, together with her personal exposure to diverse cultures and passion for the advancement of interests of minorities, in her daily responsibilities of driving Diversity and Inclusion within Glencore’s assets.
Her personal goal is to continue having an impact and playing a part in advancing changes and innovations that promote the interests of minorities in the mining industry as well as in the DRC.
Benie holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Johannesburg, with over 6 years’ experience in Labor Law and Employment Equity.
