Sumaya Mahomed is an expert Sustainability Project Manager and Strategist with over 13 years’ experience within the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy field with a focus on Policy and business development. Sumaya is currently the Country Director in Uganda for Power for All and is the Utilities 2.0 Pilot Manage, responsible for the strategic and operational design, and day-today management of Uganda’s first interconnected solar mini-grid project. This first of kind pilot brings together centralized utility and decentralized renewable energy companies to present the opportunities of an integrated energy approach. Sumaya Mahomed has a background in Chemical Engineering, Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering a Masters in Sustainable Development (cum-laude) and is currently completing her Master in Business Administration at the Edinburgh Business School.
