As the Operations Director of Smallholder Agroforestry Finance B.V. (a Rabobank company) Roswitha is responsible for all the operations towards mobilizing blended finance towards agroforestry projects for smallholder farmers. Previously, based out of Nairobi, Roswitha was responsible for the strategy and roll out of data-driven inclusive business ventures in Africa with the aim to grow local food security and increase financial inclusion. Roswitha started her career at Rabobank as a trainee and fulfilled several positions mainly focused on delivering the international Food & Agricultural strategy of Rabobank to the banks’ subsidiaries and clients. Based out of Cape Town, Roswitha was also part of the deal team to set up Arise, an investment firm and joint venture between Rabobank, FMO and Norfund. She also serves on the Steerco of the Farm to Market Alliance, an out of WFP to create access to markets and as the chair of the board of Little Lions (a mental health NGO in South Africa).
