Ms Priscillah Mabelane is Executive Vice President, Energy Business, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. She is responsible for advancing Sasol’s aim to lead the energy transition in Southern Africa towards becoming an anchor global supplier of green hydrogen by 2030, unlocking South Africa’s potential to be a global green hydrogen player. Priscillah is also responsible for the upstream and downstream gas activities as well as distribution, marketing and sales of liquid fuels in Southern Africa.
She is leading strategy formulation for the Energy Business which will support and steer a stakeholder-centric approach in spurring sustainable growth. In addition, she is responsible for securing new gas supply and delivering renewable energy solutions to support Sasol’s climate change roadmap efforts.
She was appointed to Sasol’s Group Executive Committee in September 2020 when she joined from BP Southern Africa (BPSA), where she was Chief Executive Officer. Directly prior she was Retail Operations Director for BP UK’s retail business and preceding this she was BPSA’s Chief Financial Officer for four years.
Priscillah has broad international leadership experience and a solid corporate track record of successfully leading and enabling transformation in large functions and operations in both United Kingdom and South Africa. She has served as Non-Executive Director on the Board of South Africa-based Standard Bank Group Limited and Vodacom (Pty) Ltd.
