Portia has been working for Eskom for 25 years. Her responsibilities include developing strategies to reduce losses, advising operating units on the best strategies to improve non-technical losses, and executing projects. She also identifies risks and provides mitigation strategies, monitors distribution plans, and proactively plans for the growth of the network taking into the account the business and societal imperatives (e.g. implementation of Universal Access Programme). Achievements: Portia is the recipient of the Eskom Distribution Managers Award in the Excellence Category and the Innovation Category in (2012/13). She was also the runner-up for Executive of the Year (2016/17).
