After completing his studies in Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Aachen, Germany, Nils Gathmann held various positions in research and development, process engineering and project management at companies supplying to the power generation sector. In 2019 he joined the Consulting Department of Steinmüller Engineering. In his current position as Head of Carbon Solutions he and his team provide technical solutions for the reduction of CO2 emissions in the power sector and industrial applications. Technologies including ammonia usage as fuel, power-to-heat, carbon capture and thermal energy storage fall under Nils’ responsibility.
