Mohammed Andoshe Faynet

Lead climate change adaptation Negotiator, UNFCCC

 Mohammed Andoshe Faynet has been working for more than ten years in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in various positions. As Senior Environmentalist for 2 years, As Resource Mobilization Monitoring & Evaluation specialist for 2 years  and As Director of climate change planning implementation coordination directorate for more than 6 years. I have been coordinating and facilitating National Adaptation Plan (NAP), Updated NDC (Nationally Determined Contribution), Long Term Low Emission Development Strategy (LT-LEDS), I have been engaged and coordinated various national climate policy, strategy, guidelines and roadmap having the roles for the effective implementation of climate actions. 

 

Mr Faynet is the Lead climate change adaptation Negotiator for UNFCCC, and focal point for both adaptation and adaptation funds. Am also Co-chair for Kampala Ministerial Declaration of Environment, Migration and Climate change Experts working group for IGAD member states and recently included all African. I have been attending various international events and presenting various policies, strategies, research results to the international communities to have lessons learned on adaptation.  

 

Mr Faynet has a BSc degree with Natural Resources Management, MA in Regional and Local Development study (specialized in Environment & sustainable development) in Addis Ababa University.
