Before being named as DDG TPA in December, 2022, Eng. Juma was Dar es Salaam Port Director and was responsible for all day to day Dar Port Operations supervision. He also, managed Mtwara Port and played a key role in making Mtwara Port moving from seasonal Port to all season operational port.  

Prior to joining TPA, Juma was Senior Civil Engineer of Ministry of Work (Tanzania) and was responsible for road safety and environmental management.  

Juma earned MSc. in Naval Architecture and Oceaan Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, and a BSc. in Civil and Transportation Engineering from University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
