Johnson Kayode Ayeni is a Lecturer and a researcher in the department of Earth Sciences, Anchor University, Lagos. Prior to switching to academia, he was the Technical Manager of a leading mining firm in Nigeria. His diverse expertise covers key aspect of the industry from exploration, feasibility, exploitation, marketing, site management and corporate responsibility in diversity of challenging and successful mining operations in industrial minerals, metals and precious stones. His research interest include Mining, mineral exploration and economic geology.
Johnson holds Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Mining Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, a Master of Technology, in Mineral Exploration from the Federal University of Technology, Minna respectively and a PhD candidate at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi (ATBU). He is a corporate member of Nigerian Society of Mining Engineers (NSME); Nigeria Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS) and a registered member of Council of Nigerian Mining Engineers and Geoscientist (COMEG). He is Editorial Assistant, Rock Post, and Nigeria.
