AGES Speaker

Dr Jeremy Gorelick is the senior strategic advisor at the Green Finance Institute.  He offers 25 years of experience in mobilising capital for sustainable infrastructure in emerging markets, having raised over US$ 7 billion for climate-smart infrastructure, often at the sub-national level, over the past ten years.  He has advised the British, American, and South African governments on their international and domestic climate finance policies, and has led teams on behalf of the World Bank, the IFC, various UN agencies, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  He holds a doctorate from the University of Cape Town in sub-national finance and has lectured at the undergraduate and graduate level on development finance since 2010.
