Gideon Slabbert leads Maptek’s Africa operations, an international leader in mining technology solutions. 
In addition to having a degree in Mining Engineering, he has extensive experience leading technology teams that have implemented production systems at various mining sites across Africa and around the world. Gideon is passionate about ensuring the true value of technology at mines is realized through the successful adoption of technology, so that mining will be done differently in the future as a result of better decisions made by miners.
