Federico is the Program Director at FEEM, Eni’s Research Foundation. He leads the research program on technologies for energy transition. Federico teaches energy and environmental economics at Bocconi University. In addition to his academic work, Federico is a Senior Energy Advisor at the Tony Blair Institute. In this role, Federico advises regional institutions and African governments on power sector reforms, international energy transactions, and infrastructural investments.
His areas of expertise are energy and environmental markets, with a specific focus on economic regulation, market design, and the enabling conditions for private sector involvement and public-private partnerships. Over the past fifteen years, he has advised governments and utilities on power sector reforms, tariff regulation, and major international energy infrastructure projects in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
Federico holds PhDs in Economics from Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense and Bocconi University.
