Born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, Fanny Matembe spent the first chapter of her life in Kinshasa where she attended Protestant University of Congo. She graduated with a degree in Business Administration, and this was double win as she started working at a multinational company at the age of 20 years old and decided 3 years later to attend the university and this led her to the beginning of a successful career in Customer Care first and later in Sales.
The initial 14 years of her career was spent in telecoms giant Celtel / Zain/ Airtel today. In 2011, she took a leave of absence to go study in the United States of America to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in Houston, Texas at America International University of Houston-Texas. In 2014, Matembe Fanny came back after graduating and took a Project Manager role in mobile money for Airtel Africa and was based in Nairobi for about a year.
The next year (in 2015) she joined a global logistics company DHL Express where she took over the position of Commercial Director.
In 2016, she took the challenge of launching a new brand in a very competitive market as a Sales Director for the South African company PPC Ltd in the cement manufacturing industry. Two years later the company reached 30% market share.
In 2021, appointed as Head of Sales-Enterprise for Liquid Telecom based in Kinshasa, Fanny Matembe capitalizes on her sales expertise, focus in providing Enterprises Managed Services and support companies’ digital transformation.
