Dr. Eyita-Okon is a political economist whose research interest lies in the nexus between security and development in Africa. Research problems in this area include (but not limited to) issues pertaining energy, environment, food, water security nexus; climate change; green and just transition; securitization; (counter) terrorism, political economy, public policy, and governance. In making sense of these issues, she believes that political economy offers a critical tool of analysis in understanding the factors that shape varying outcomes.
