Dr Hanno Reuter
Head of Consulting and Research & Development
Dr Hanno Reuter is Head of Consulting and Research and Development at IWC. Hanno is a mechanical engineer with B.Eng., M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from Stellenbosch University and he has been registered as a professional engineer at the Engineering Council of South Africa.
He has worked in industry for 27 years of which 5 years in Switzerland and 5 years in Belgium while residing in South Africa. Hanno is internationally experienced in thermo-fluids, performance modelling, design, engineering, testing, R&D and management in the field of industrial wet, dry and combined dry/wet cooling systems and thermal power plants.
He has also held the post of Head of Thermo-Fluids and Postgraduate Convener in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering at Stellenbosch University, where he worked as senior lecturer and researcher for 13 years and is currently an Extraordinary Professor.
