Overview

The Smart Agri-Centre (SAC) is our integrated solution that provides a significant level of energy access to offgrid rural communities, whilst simultaneously providing a bespoke range of services to them to enhance local income and subsidise the cost of energy provision and the capital cost of the whole system.
The Centre incorporates a 45kW solar power plant, dry storage and a cold store for harvested crops, and services such as welding, flour milling, agri-input shops, phone charging, internet, entertainment and crop value addition.
The SAC can also distribute “spare” power not being used by the services it hosts to the surrounding community. Across Africa, depending on location, a SAC has the ability to generate average daily power of 135 – 225kWh.
