Talent & Employee Engagement Officer

This specialized role focuses on talent acquisition, encompassing recruitment, selection processes, workforce planning, recruitment database management, recruitment campaigns, career fair coordination, recruitment advertising, and social media recruitment. Additionally, it plays a pivotal role in supporting selection activities.

Moreover, this role strives to kindle and invigorate employee engagement across the company through enhanced communication channels. By establishing structured communication between the company and its teams, and by conducting regular surveys as touchpoints between management and employees, it aims to deepen employees’ understanding and foster a culture of engagement.

Requirements:

  • HR/Communications diploma/ or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in similar role
  • Understanding of engagement – what it means and its business benefits
  • Enthusiasm and energy for the subject or area that they will be the engagement champion for
  • Connections and credibility among their colleagues
  • Confidence to deal with others on the behalf of the organisation
  • Confidence to handle feedback – positive or negative – on the behalf of the organisation
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Skilled in Social media & Canva

Job Outline:

  • End to end process design for the attraction and tracking of new employees (permanent/fixed term).
  • End to end youth pipeline recruitment design (graduates/interns).
  • End to end recruitment, selection, and onboarding.
  • Monitor trends and design specific recruitment & selection, and placement interventions to drive capacity building.
  • Build talent pipelines for future needs.
  • Compile monthly reports on recruitment & selection, placement metrics and challenges with area of responsibility.
  • Providing recruitment reports to team managers.
  • In collaboration with HR Director, formulate well-being plan for VUKA Group:
    • Ideas for wellbeing days
    • Assist in coordinating all team related activities and events to drive culture & wellbeing
    • Participate in Corporate Social Responsibility activitieswhere needed
    • Drive participation in the Employee Engagement and Well-Being Surveys
  • Engagement with external stakeholders (agencies, higher educational institutions).
  • Utilize VUKA Pulse Intranet site to share successes, opportunities & company related news
  • Assist the HR Director with Occupational Health and Safety
  • Identify feedback or issues from employees and communicate it to HR Director and Senior Management
  • Share information and key messages about the company with colleagues
  • Conduct regular surveys
