Our Mining Review Africa Publication team is looking for a talented multimedia journalist.

Responsibilities:

• Compile articles for brand’s print and digital platforms
• Engage with industry stakeholders (interview) for the purpose of content creation
• Copywriting, editing and proof-reading commercial and non-commercial content
• Assist in the uploading of content to website and Youtube channel
• Conduct research and compile deep dive content for the brand’s resource library
• Assist in the compilation of newsletters, brand mailers and social media posts
• Conduct video and podcast interviews and assist in pre- and post-production processes
• Assist in the organisation hosting of webinars and digital events
• Assist in general daily administrative tasks

Requirements:

• A recognised multimedia journalist qualification with a particular focus on video, digital and social media
• A professional outlook with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• A willingness to constantly learn new things on the job
• Good interviewing skills
• Good research skills
• Excellent social media skills
• Good working knowledge of shooting videos independently – video production skills will be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Eagerness to explore and understand the commercial aspects of multimedia
• Ability to think outside the box
• Team player who is willing to work outside the boundaries of job description

Remuneration:  R15,000.00 gross per month
