Bioenergy offers Africa an abundant and sustainable power source

PyroGenesys has developed a waste-to-energy system to generate electricity. Using the pyrochemy chemical process, their system can turn turns waste biomass into a decentralised source of combined cooling, heat, power (CCHP) and value-added commodities like biochar.

In recent months the bioenergy startup’s projects in various African countries have delivered valuable lessons in processing high volumes of abundant waste biomass to provide clean-carbon neutral cooling, heat and power at competitive unit cost per kWh.
